Build Financial Identity
The goal isn't 'I know finance.' The goal is 'I am someone who manages money wisely.' Identity drives behavior.
Not 'I know finance' — 'I am someone who manages money wisely.'
In Practice
"I know how compounding works" fades by next year. "I am someone who invests every month, on autopilot" doesn't need remembering — it's just what you do.
Generic Example
"I know exercise is good for me" rarely lasts. "I'm a person who goes for a run" usually does.
Am I trying to know more, or trying to become someone who already acts this way?
